FIT ME! (Co-Creation)

Foreign tourism in Finland is increasing fast and drivers for this increase are international individual travellers. Destinations in periphery, especially authentic nature and experiences related to the nature are central assets for Finnish tourism industry. Rural destinations (>80 % of Finland) are challenging to reach without a car. Especially for international traveller searching and finding alternative mobility methods and forming of travel chains is burdensome and complicated. Challenges of internal accessibility are central bottleneck and drag on growth.

FIT ME! project aims to solve the described challenges by seeking synergies: business-driven international growth pursuing FIT ME! Co-Innovation ecosystem project is strived to form. On national level, industry, organization, governance and regional boundaries crossing collaboration network is formed and established to support common shared goal execution (international individual travel’s sustainable growth). In the project, plan to execute proof of concept of the FIT ME! service platform is produced.
