Drolo-projektissa tutkitaan, kehitetään ja pilotoidaan ratkaisuja alailmatilan liikenteenhallintaan, 5G-yhteyksiin sekä painetun ja sulautetun elektroniikan hyödyntämiseen. Hankkeessa testataan älykkäitä droonipalveluita satamaan, droonien käyttöä lentoaseman lähialueella, droonisääpalvelua ja vedyn sopivuutta droonien energialähteeksi. Hankkeessa kehitetään myös suomalaisten droonitoimijoiden liiketoimintamalleja vientinäkökulmasta. Esimerkiksi useiden tehtävien suorittaminen jopa usealle asiakkaalle samalla lennolla parantaa droonien kustannustehokkuutta.

ROBUSTA develops novel approaches to the transportation automatisation. The project will test and study technologies that enable to remove the human operator from the bus and to put him in the control room responsible of multiple buses. Key objective is to create a remote drive system that allows the use of semi-autonomous buses, and later other autonomous vehicles in urban traffic conditions.

The project aims at developing solutions that improve road safety through providing novel time-critical digital services to vehicles and their drivers as well as essential information for road maintenance and other 3rd party organizations. The work is conducted in collaboration with the key Finnish research and industry players in the field.
